They say we’re all connected by 6 or fewer degrees of separation. Well, let’s play a little game very loosely based on that. In the comments, state your first name and where you live. Then also add a line for the first name of a family member or friend who lives somewhere else. If possible, mention someone who lives in another country or at least another province / state / region from you. Let’s see how many dots connect us, at least by where we live if not by the people we know.
Bonus points awarded to any commenter whose name is Sandi Carmenego, or knows someone with that name. Why? Just because I made it as an anagram out of the kids show character Carmen Sandiego but when I searched it in Google in quotation marks, it said there were no results.
I’ll get us started …
My name is Marianne and I live in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
I have a sister Barb who lives in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada.
Your turn. Add your push pins to our little WordPress world mapping system in the comments below.
You’re my source of entertainment for the day, outside of the massive spring cleaning I’m trying to get done so hoping some of you will humour me and play along.
The dust bunnies I’m hanging out with aren’t being the most comedic today.

Thanks Lee – thrilled you’re my first taker to play the game! Had to Google MD though, couldn’t remember what state it was the shortform for. My US-born parents & siblings would be a tad disappointed in me haha.

The Carmen Sandiego anagram is pure genius. You had me giggling even before I opened the post. Wait until you get into the soul equivalent of this – think trees and branches, not necessarily binary! (I couldn’t be bothered to find the long dash this time. ;))

I ‘almost’ didn’t approve this comment, since you weren’t playing along with the game Capital Q. But … you made me giggle too so comment is checkmark worthy regardless.
Now – what the heck you chattin’ ’bout with the “soul equivalent” stuff???

Hehehe, thanks Marianne (note to self: the girl has standards!). If we think of the six degrees of separation as a physical construct on Earth, then the degree of closeness between souls is heaven’s tapestry. Shall I go on and tell you more about soulmates etc.?

Where you been Capital Q? I had noticed it was a touch quieter ’round here. Was missing you. Hope all is well with you and yours.
And umm, well, ah … nope. I get it now, no need for further explanation haha.
Nice to see you ‘back’. Blessings … Marianne

Ah, I was dancing with karma. Phew, summer heat! And the summer solstice is coming too. That one I like, very much. How about you, which is your favorite season?
Thanks for noticing, hope all is well with you too. 🙂
Hahaha cool. By the way, you might like Miracles from Heaven (2016), the movie. It just might be up your alley. Or Heaven Is for Real (2014), although I haven’t seen that one myself.
Blessings right back at ya.

Summer hands down! Why not write a post about the solstice? You’d entertain and enlighten me if you did at least.
And thanks for the movie tips. I’ll gonna go IMDB them right now. 🙂
Ciao for now … Marianne

Ooh, you just might have tempted me into something seasonal. And I’ve been meaning to figure out how Daily Prompts work, too.
I think you’ll enjoy the offbeat humor in those movies. I sure did.
Later, Marianne.

I could add three more pins with my immediate family alone…but I’ll follow the rules! And notice I spelled out the state’s names. The two worst set of abbreviations to remember are the As and the Ms.
Looking forward to seeing what happens!

Terrific thanks Belinda! And thanks for spelling out the states in full haha! 🙂 You’re right, the A and the M ones do seem the hardest to remember, especially for a Canuck like me eh? Marianne

You have a legitimate excuse. Americans should know AR = Arkansas and not Arizona, which is AZ. But I’ll cut folks slack for not knowing that if they don’t support Trump. That’s my song these days.
LikeLiked by 1 person
OMG that’s too funny Belinda! Maybe you folks can add a geography quiz to your ballots – if you vote for Trump and don’t get all the state abbreviations correct, the vote cast is null and void haha! 🙂

I like it, but I think the constitutional scholars would object — oh wait, who among them would vote for Trump? We’re safe.

Had to hop back on again and add a son in-law who is this week in Berlin, Germany, next week in Prague, Czechoslovakia and the week after in Nouakchott, Mauritania. I’ve been blogging since 2008 and periodically have as a sub-section of my posts “Where in the World is Jeff Berthiaume.” Jeff, French Canadian blood and works for the U.S. Government. It’s not andi Carmenego, but we have thought on the same wave length, so to speak. Sometimes I refer to him as ElJefe. Peace my friend.
Lots of “TRAVEL WARNINGS” in Mauritania by the way. If you want their weather, go to Arizona. http://mauritania.usembassy.gov/ta-052912.html
