Looks like I ended up on an unintentional LOA from here. Again.
Had a couple minor health setbacks and one biggie. Fell at work and broke a few ribs. Ouch. Still ouchies but back to work at least, on modified duties.

I’ve been doing a lot lately to reduce stress in my life. From working on my goals for this year, to spending more time with loved ones, and reading lots recently about minimalism, simplifying my life, organization, etc. Three of my favourite reads of late have been The More Of Less by Joshua Becker (great newsletter too), The Productivity Project by Chris Bailey, and a couple of the books by the now very much talked about Marie Kondo. Next on my to read list is Getting Things Done by David Allen. But I haven’t gotten that done yet.
I don’t know about you, but for me, physical clutter creates mental clutter. And mental clutter gives me mental stress. And mental stress leads to physical stress. And then I yell at my kids. Well, not very often, but I craft in my head what I would like to yell at them. And then I drink more coffee and play solitaire instead. Most of the time. (Hey, I’m just being honest with you okay?) Step 1: Go find yourself a COLD beverage and a straw, a water bottle with a sippy kinda lid on it, or something that you can take liquid into your mouth with. I highly recommend using water. Now go position yourself over a sink or head outside where the only thing in front of you is the ground.
Step 2: Take a sip of your COLD beverage and swallow. Easy right?

Lots of things make me cranky. Mostly the usual stuff. And the odd thing that, well, perhaps don’t make so many others get all cantankerous and such like I can get. One of those for me is thongs. Yep, I’m talking underwear. No nicey nicey slicey of apple pie kinda post from me today. Except for the gratitude bit in it because you can throw gratitude into just about any post I think.

I would like to pass along a riveting piece of advice an dear elder of mine in AA shared with me some years ago. She didn’t share it nicely but she did share it with love and good intention. The love was to propel me to be honest with myself and the intention was to shatter a false reality I had lived with most of my life. Her missions were accomplished and then some. I have never looked at the type of thoughts and behaviours in question the same since then, and have been able to change many of my actions around them because of her. For that, I remain forever grateful.
