Writing a novel is like driving a car at night.

but you can make the whole trip that way.E. L. Doctorow, author

Listen to music. It could save your soul. Be kind. It could save someone’s world. Wear a hat. It could save your life.
So True. So you pull out a map and plot a route first, eh? Then buy some high beams. And take along your best virtual pal, the one who sees you right, the one with a good sense of direction. Then you drive!

I have to turn on the high beams? Yeah that might help eh?
And be careful what you write Mr. Bryce … you just might end up in the passenger seat telling me where to go. But without a map please, it’s so much funner that way.

Pretty simple but pretty profound too isn’t it? I love it. Just need to work at remembering it haha! Marianne
