… and answer the question: Who Is God?
Sorry folks, no witty punchline to add to it. But there is some nice lighthearted humour in the clip, so maybe that will make you smile instead.
Time to set your alarms and PVRs again – episode 3 of the 6-part miniseries “The Story Of God” with Morgan Freeman is on tonight at 9 pm ET / 8 pm CT. Check your local listings for the National Geographic Channel. Or, do what my blogging friend Linda over at Spiritual Dragonfly does … get the NatGeo app and watch it tomorrow – without commercials!
There’s a trailer and some other great clips to watch about tonight’s episode as well as other videos related to the show over at NatGeo’s website and YouTube channel. If you haven’t watched the 20 Questions With Morgan Freeman one yet, I highly recommend it.
As a side note, last week marked the 50th anniversary of the, at the time, highly controversial Time magazine cover Is God Dead? First cover they ever did with just text, no pictures. Quite the interesting article if you’ve never read it. Here’s some links about it for your reading pleasure …
Is God Dead? [original article]
Rumors of God’s Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated
Glad the Rabbi, Pastor, and Iman had their chat in a diner. Hoping they get down to the meat & potatoes in tonight’s episode. I’m holding my breath in anticipation. Well not really, the show doesn’t start for almost 12 hours. But I am very much looking forward to it. Wonder if they’ll also answer Joan Osbourne’s question …
What if God was one of us
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make His way home? One Of Us by Joan Osbourne

The Greek gods with a small first letter were anthropomorphic and flawed. I believe in a benevolent God who is a bit hard of hearing but means well!

Ditto. Especially the hard of hearing part sometimes. But alas He always seems to answer eventually. With His answer though not necessarily the one I had in mind of course. 🙂
